Outlook Mission Bay Project Update 10

We’re now weather-tight!

With the roof in place before Christmas (photo on right), the Clearwater Construction team have worked hard with the sub-contractors to get all of the windows and doors installed to make the building fully weather-tight. A great milestone to achieve before recent rain!

The focus now turns to the stunning interiors that have been designed by Gretl Lukas. The interiors team are already hard at work inside the building, with most walls and ceilings now installed. The tilers are currently working on the level 3 bathrooms and the first kitchens are almost installed inside the level 2 apartments.

We’re looking forward to seeing the kitchens we first saw in the display suite 2 years ago!

Other exciting work starting is preparation for planting the first trees, plants and shrubs in the landscaped grounds at Outlook. Most heavy materials will be lifted with the tower crane before it is dismantled in the coming months and some trees are already on-site. The landscapers have started on the perimeter fences and will soon be filling raised planters with soil, readying them  for 30 different varieties of mostly NZ natives plus the lemon and lime trees for G & T’s.

Construction remains on-track for building completion in mid-July. It’s great to have a team working so well towards a shared goal and this was celebrated at the roof shout last week!
